Scott McLaughlin gets new sponsor, alludes to Daytona 24h entry
Scott McLaughlin's sophomore IndyCar campaign was impressive, earning a three wins and a top-five championship finish.
He signed a contract extension with Team Penske in September, and now has added a new sponsor to the mix for 2023. Good Ranchers, a "premium meat purveyor," will join as a sponsor on the No. 3 car for the fourth race at Barber Motorsports Park and an undisclosed amount of future races. The brand, which donates 10 meals to families in need for every box purchased, will also have activations at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway through a new partnership.

McLaughlin also alluded to a future race at the Daytona Road Course in a recent Twitter post. Racer.com's Marshall Pruett confirmed McLaughlin and Penske teammate Josef Newagarden are in talks to drive an LMP2 entry at both the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Christian Lundgaard, Jack Harvey swap rides at RLL
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing confirmed Christian Lundgaard will drive the No. 45 HyVee Honda next year, while Jack Harvey will move to the No. 30 car.
The move comes after a subpar year for Harvey, plagued with back luck at multiple events and only one top-ten finish (Nashville), and an increase in series support from sponsor HyVee, who sponsors the Iowa IndyCar weekend.
Lundgaard won Rookie of the Year in 2022 following seven top-tens and one podium finish.
New rear attenuator for 2023
IndyCar will introduce a new rear attenuator for 2023, according to reporting from Racer.com's Marshall Pruett.
The attenuator, which houses the gearbox and is a crucial component in rear impacts, has been designed to lessen the load on drivers in rear impacts.
Tino Belli, IndyCar director of aerodynamic development, said the attenuator is longer and shaped differently so that it crushes in a more predictable way in accidents, reducing G forces that can harm drivers.
The new attenuators will also have a larger rain light following complaints of driver visibility in the 2022 GMR Grand Prix.

Some of his favorites include Tame Impala's "Elephant," Alex G.'s "Treehouse," and more.
When not working at Andretti Autosport, Herta drums for the band The Zibs.
